Commissioned by the Samueli Foundation in partnership with the Orange County Community Foundation, the Orange County Nonprofit Needs Assessment Report is the first study of its kind in OC. Through novel research and conversations with hundreds of OC nonprofit leaders, the process of developing the report uncovered insights that can help align urgent community needs with existing philanthropic resources.
Leaders from family foundations across Orange County recently gathered for an engaging discussion on the future of philanthropy at the Orange County Community Foundation’s Family Foundation Alliance quarterly learning session. The program--Innovative Philanthropy: Building a Resilient Nonprofit Sector in Orange County--featured insights from Lindsey Spindle, President of Samueli Family Philanthropies, and Efrain Escobedo, President & CEO of the Center for Nonprofit Management. Together, they explored the challenges nonprofits face, and the bold solutions philanthropy can help drive forward.
Local entrepreneurs, investors and professional advisors recently gathered for an engaging event on Strategic Exit Planning: Maximizing Your Personal Value and Impacthosted by the Orange County Community Foundation (OCCF). The wisdom from the expert panel was consistent and clear: it’s never too early to begin planning for a business sale and the more planning you do, the better your outcomes will be in optimizing tax impacts, maximizing financial benefits, and enabling philanthropic as a result of a business exit.
